Ques. 1  How to purchase plot/flat from GDA?
Ans. Registration is necessary with the GDA before purchasing land/flats.
   
Ques. 2 Can I register myself with the GDA today only?
Ans.

The GDA opens the registration for different schemes from time to time. The information regarding this is published in several newspapers and one can also get the information from the Office's Information Center.

   
Ques. 3  We are registered now for a very long time, when the plot/flat will be allotted?
Ans.

GDA allots the property time to time. Timely inform the GDA's office of your interest, and then if your name comes in lottery you would be allotted the property.

   
Ques. 4

I am already registered. Can I register myself again for Self Finance Scheme?

Ans. 

Yes, you can change your earlier registration to Self Finance Scheme registration. Along with the registration form, you have to submit original old Registration Certificate, Challan and the balance amount.

   
Ques. 5  Will the preference be given to the earlier registered people? 
Ans.  Yes. Old registrations would be preferred in the allotments.
   
Ques. 6  Whether the GDA will allot plot/flat on Free Hold basis? 
Ans. 

Yes. GDA will allot the property on Free Hold basis and old allottees can also convert their property to Free Hold.

   
Ques. 7  How can the earlier allotted property be converted to Free Hold? 
Ans.

For the property to be converted to Free Hold, a book costing Rs 50/- is available at the related Estate Management Office (EMO) or the Information Center, Head Office. After completing all the necessities as told in the book, the property would be converted to Free Hold.

   
Ques. 8  How the Map for House construction/extension is sanctioned?
Ans. 

As per approved Government Orders under the Government's Housing Policy Work Scheme 1997, it has been told that Standard Map would be followed in city's new and developing areas, construction in upto 300 sq mt plot. The allottees have to approve the map before construction based on the standards. Under Approved Government Orders, allottees can construct their houses based on the map as per their will and power without further any permission.

   
Ques. 9 

Can the allotted property or the registration be transferred in any body else's favor?

Ans.

As per the rules of the GDA, property or the registration can be transferred in the blood relations i.e. father to son/daughter or mother to son/daughter.

   
Ques. 10 I want my registration amount to be returned. How is it possible?
Ans. 

Refund voucher can be received from Information Center/Registration Department and after completing the necessities deposit again in the office. Original copies of Registration certificate, Challan is also to be submitted with the voucher. After that the registration amount is returned back.

   
Ques. 11  The dispute/matter regarding my flat/plot is now continuing for a very long time. How can it be resolved quickly? 
Ans. 

"Lok Adalat" has been established by the GDA to resolve matters due for long. This meeting is held every Monday and applicant put his/her points in the meeting with the Vice Chairman of GDA. You can also give the application letter.

   
Ques. 12  Whether plot/flat can be sold or not?
